Future developments

Where as the refrigerator extracts heat from the interior of the fridge and dumps it at the rear through a radiator the ground source heat pump extracts heat from the ground, which well below the surface, can always provide some heat even in the coldest weather. This heat energy is then transferred to the building. The efficiency comes from the coefficient of performance which allows the electrically pump driven to extract more heat energy from the ground than is required to drive the pump.
